You can be a part of Wisconsin's conservation tradition by getting involved in the Angler Education Program. Angler Education helps to provide youth and adults an opportunity to: master basic fishing skills, explore Wisconsin's aquatic resources, and develop a set of ethics to help ensure that Wisconsin's lakes and streams will remain bountiful for generations to come.
Fishing is a leisure activity and a lifelong sport that connects family and friends. Adults who take youth fishing learn that angling provides time to talk about school, social issues and family matters as well as the environment. Fishing reconnects people not only with aquatic resources, but with each other. Fishing also connects us to nature, its splendor and wonders. Bring an occasional catch home and frying them up may have you planning the next outing before the dishes are done. There are healthy rewards to sport fishing. It's FUN, yet challenging!
Master Angler is a Grade 4 - 12 Program but it's open to all ages. Older youth and adults are encouraged to enroll in this program. Children under 8 are discouraged from attending due to the depth of the material covered. We encourage parents to use this opportunity to interact with their child(ren) in this unique learning environment. They'll appreciate it!
