Flag Day 2009 - Howard Wi Fire Trucks
Caption:

Howard Fire Department ready to serve our country by preparing to properly retire tattered and frayed US flags. 176.(k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning. This ceremony is the first I've seen. I hate to admit I'm more than a half-century old. Follow through the gallery with me as we learn a little about what took place on Flag Day, June 14, 2009 at VFW Post 7534 in Duck Creek Wisconsin — Village of Howard. I wonder if the Fire crew practices parking their trucks for showmanship? These trucks were spotless. Good job fire-fighters!
