Saturday October 2 Green Bay Community Church Dick Bennett Speaking Event gbcommunitychurch.com GBCC Chapel 600 Cardnal Ln Green Bay Dick Bennett, retired college men's basketball coach at UW Madison, UWGB, UW Stevens Point and Washington State University, is coming to GBCC to speak about his life's experience pouring himself into the lives of hundreds of young men over the past decades. Dick is held in high regard in college sports circles across the nation for his success on the court. He is also a man who gladly speaks openly about his faith in Jesus Christ, and will present a talk about how he drew on his faith principles, values and beliefs as a coach, teacher, husband and father. This event is open to the general public, suitable for adults and teenagers. Sponsored/hosted by GBCC Men's Ministry.

Friday Oct 15 6:30 pm 6th Annual Dance Against Violence Sock Hop sponsored by the nIc Foundation Wave Bar and Ballroom 2350 N Casaloma Appleton An evening charity event of a 50's & 60's sockhop dance, raffles, auctions, games, hula hoops, and costume contest to honor and remember assault victim Nicolas Resch. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. is a free "Swing" Dance Lesson with Jumpcats. Dance 8:00 to Midnight with the Bobby Rivers Band. Cost is $5 Donation at the door with proceeds to support violence prevention education. No need to register - just come have fun, and support a great cause!
